Privacy Policy

Last updated May 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Magentic (“Magentic”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website, talk to Maggie, our AI assistant, or engage us for an AI adoption audit or build project. By using our services you agree to the practices described here.

Magentic is a trading name of [your full legal name], an independent sole trader (trabalhador independente) established in Portugal and operating under the Portuguese “recibos verdes” regime. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), [your full legal name] is the data controller responsible for your personal data (Portuguese tax number (NIF): [your NIF]; registered address: [your registered address], Portugal). You can reach us about any privacy matter at hello@magentic.studio.

Information we collect

Information you provide. This includes your name, email address, and details about your business, tools, and workflows that you share with Maggie or in a project brief, along with any messages you send us. When you pay a fee, your payment is processed by a third-party payment provider; we do not store full card details on our systems.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we may collect basic technical data such as your device type, browser, and pages visited, through cookies and similar technologies, to keep the site working and understand how it is used.

How we use your information

  • To provide your audit, prepare your roadmap, and scope build work.
  • To schedule and conduct your expert call.
  • To communicate with you about your account and our services.
  • To operate, secure, and improve our website and services.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Maggie, our AI assistant

Maggie guides the early discovery conversation. The information you share with Maggie is used to understand your business and prepare a brief for our human experts ahead of your call. It is treated with the same care as any other information you provide to us. The information you share with Maggie is not used to train any AI models — neither ours nor those of the third-party AI providers that power Maggie.

Cookies and analytics

When you first visit our site we ask for your consent to analytics cookies through a banner. We use PostHog, a product-analytics tool, to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are viewed and which buttons are clicked — so we can improve it. We do not load PostHog or set any analytics cookies until you accept. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no usage data is collected. A small, strictly necessary entry in your browser’s storage may be used to remember your choice so we do not ask again. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the banner back.

How we share information

We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — such as payment processing, website hosting, product analytics (PostHog), and AI infrastructure — when required by law, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. Service providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.

International transfers

We are based in Portugal, but some of our service providers (including PostHog and our hosting and AI infrastructure providers) may process your information outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your information.

Legal basis for processing

Where the GDPR applies, we process your personal data on the following bases: to perform our contract with you (providing your audit, roadmap, and build work); your consent (for analytics cookies, which you can withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving our services; and compliance with our legal obligations.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services and for legitimate business or legal purposes, after which we delete or anonymize it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@magentic.studio and we will respond as required by applicable law. If you are in the EEA and believe we have not handled your data properly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in Portugal, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

Children

Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
